Most of us don't think about our backs until we have back pain. Often we believe back pain is the result of an accident and that the problem can be "fixed" if we seek professional treatment. In fact, most back pain is caused by the cumulative effects of our day-to-day activities.
Unfortunately, once you have experienced back pain you are even more likely to have back problems in the future. When a back injury occurs, the back is weakened and unles you take steps to strengthen your back, recurrence is likely.
This does not need to be your experience! You can deal with your problem!
Back problems are epidemic in our society. About 85% of adults in North America will suffer from back pain at some time in their lives. Men and women are equally at risk, and young people as well as old can be disabled by back pain. People in less developed countries do more manual labor than we do, yet suffer less back disability.
The best way to deal with back pain is to prevent it! The Back Power program is designed to help you develope a plan to prevent your first bout of back pain or the reccurrence of previous "ache."
