• I took your Emergency child care course recently, your experienced instructor Colin made sure that all of us were all comfortable in the skills that we learned that day and it sure payed off. About a months after taking the course, my 3 year old son was sitting in the living room watching TV eating pieces of cut up apple that I gave him. All of a sudden it got very quite, so I looked around the corner and there laying on the floor was my son, unconscious, his face looked blue, I remember being told by the instructor to always remain calm, stop take a deep breath, assess the situation then react, so I preceded to follow all the proper steps then trying the infant chocking method this did not work then I did abdominal thrust for a unconscious child on my son, and after a couple of thrust a piece of apple went flying across the room.
